Therapy in Tribeca, NYC for Adults and Couples

At Gather Therapy, our work is relational, trauma-informed, and somatic. We engage with both what you say and what lives beneath your words – the emotional and bodily experiences that shape how you feel and respond – so you can move through life with greater calm and clarity.

Services We Offer

What We Help With

Anxiety

When your mind rarely quiets down, it can be hard to relax or stay present. We help calm the nervous system and restore a greater sense of inner safety and control.

Self-Esteem & Self-Worth

Constant self-doubt can make it hard to trust your own needs or decisions. We focus on strengthening self-trust and building a more stable sense of worth.

Relationship Issues

You may find yourself stuck in the same arguments or feeling distant from people you care about. We work with underlying patterns so relationships feel more secure, connected and fulfilling.

Depression

Some days it’s hard to get started, stay motivated, or feel interested in things that used to matter. Together, we gently explore what’s underneath and help you reconnect with yourself.

Life Transitions

Major life changes can leave you questioning direction, identity, or what comes next. We offer space to slow down and find your footing again.

What Guides Our Work

We believe meaningful change happens when therapy feels:

EMBODIED

Thought alone doesn’t always tell the whole story. We pay attention to what happens emotionally and in your body because this is often where reactions become most clear.

ATTACHMENT-FOCUSED

Early relationships shape how we move toward closeness, conflict, and safety today. We help make these responses visible so new ways of relating can take root over time.

TRAUMA-INFORMED

Many responses that feel unhelpful or limiting today once helped you get through something earlier. Our work respects the intelligence of those adaptations while helping you develop more flexibility over time.

RELATIONAL

Change happens in connection. The therapeutic relationship itself is part of the work – a place where patterns can be understood, felt in real time, and gradually reshaped.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, sessions are available in-person at our Tribeca office in NYC and virtually across New York State.

  • Yes, we offer individual therapy for adults and couples therapy for partners seeking change and deeper connection.

  • We are an out-of-network insurance provider and do not bill insurance directly. Many clients use their out-of-network benefits to receive partial reimbursement from their insurance companies for our services.

You’ll have access to our secure client portal where you can download superbills (itemized receipts) to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

To find out how much you may be reimbursed, we recommend contacting your insurance company directly. Here are a few questions to guide your conversation with them:

    • Does my plan include out-of-network benefits?

    • What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed for out-of-network providers?

    • Is there a deductible I need to meet before I can receive reimbursement?

    • Are there any session limits or specific requirements for coverage?

Each insurance plan is unique, so gathering this information will give you a clearer understanding of what to expect. If you have further questions about superbills or the process, feel free to reach out – we’re happy to help.

  • Our rates are $255/session for individual therapy and $300/session for couples therapy before insurance reimbursement.

  • The length of therapy depends on what brings you in and what you’re hoping to shift. Some work unfolds over time as patterns become clearer and new ways of responding take root. Our goal is not to prolong therapy unnecessarily, but to support meaningful, lasting change you can feel in your life.
